Purchasing Specialist
Responsibilities:
To be the representative from Purchasing to participate in Merak
site leadership and Indonesia country management team.
Manage purchasing contractors to ensure compliance and achieving
the team goal
Implement effective sourcing, inquiry, negotiation, and commitment
of Purchase Orders and Contracts.
Actively interface with other members of the Pacific Purchasing
Team to accomplish goals and leverage functional opportunities.
Conduct analysis of actual and projected spending data to assess
the demand and define potential commercial strategies for various
product commodities (i.e. Mechanical, Instrument-Electrical, Labor,
Pipe-Valves-Fittings, Lab-R&D, Process Containment Equipment, etc ..)
Implement strategic VCR (Value Creation Report) and Value Creation
projects through the use of Six Sigma and other functional tools.
Intervene with suppliers on performance issues based on feedback
from the client and/or Quality, Service, and Product Performance
(QSPP) data.
Participate in the Pacific task force project with the other
members of Pacific Purchasing team.
Maintain basic knowledge of suppliers and relevant market
developments such as mergers and acquisitions, financial status, and
changes in key personnel.
Requirements:
S1/ Bachelor Degree (Preferably in Engineering)
Ability to speak and write in English fluently
Proficient at operating PC (MS Office)
Min. 5 years experience in purchasing supervisory role at
manufacturing industries (preferably in multinationals)
Highly integrated person with strong ethics, strong negotiation
and communication skills
Knowledge of basic purchasing fundamentals (supplier relations,
contracts, bid analysis)
Experienced at using SAP (ERP)
Hands on experince at implementing six sigma will be a plus
